| GEOGRAPHY |
Qatar is an oil-rich
peninsula jutting out into the Gulf between
Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates. There
are hills in the northwest, but the rest
of the country consists of sand dunes and
salt flats, with scattered vegetation towards
