Last words preface Khalil Gibran
With the last breath, the last words
are uttered. The last words, at times, are statements,
questions, quotes, answers, revelation, confessions
that may be witty, touching, inspirational, and right
down banal.
Last words are pronounced as the person is meeting death.
Death….the mystery door to the other world. It
remains an enigma as it begins when life ends. The word
death, itself involves fear. The fear of death has given
rise to a host of speculations about an afterlife and
all cults have tried to answer over it. But do we know
actually what is death ? According to Osho, we are so
afraid of death, that while dying we willingly become
unconscious. We lapse into unconsciousness shortly before
dying and we die in unconsciousness. We do not realize
our death or even our birth. And that is why we do not
realize that life is eternal. No more than a resting
place between the cycles of birth and death where we
discard old clothes and pick up new ones. Moreover,
we could say, that thy eternal soul going back to home.
The journey of life doesn’t end but it restarts.
But still we cling to illusions and don’t understand
that death is the universal fact and we all have to
meet it one day.
I am forever walking upon the shores,
Betwixt the sand and the foam.
The high tide will erase my footprints.
And the wind will blow away the foam.
But the sea and shore will remain forever.
