It is important to note that one should never construct a toilet or make a garbage-collection point in the northern direction of the house. Instead, that side should be used for terraces or verandas. Minimum construction should be made in the north of the plot. If most of the northern part of the plot is used for construction, the owner is bound to experience penury and poverty. It is always better to establish one’s own office in the north. Better results are achieved if the entrance of the house is kept to the north.

On the other hand, financial losses are incurred if the kitchen is placed in the north. Instead, the living room or main hall should be in the north of the house to ensure financial gains. Ideally, the main hall or the living room should be designed in such a way that it is in the west and the south with its opening, in the direction of the north or the east.

The owner of financial companies should have their seating arrangements facing north in order to achieve phenomenal success in their endeavors.

Do not ever rent out the northern part of the house. In case of family division, the elder brother should offer the north of the house to the younger brother and keep the southern part for himself, for the benefit of both. While designing the house, the slope of the building should be tilted towards the north to bring in prosperity and progress of the family.

While sleeping, one’s feet should point towards the north and one’s head should be in the southern direction, so that when one gets up in the morning, the seat of Lord Kubera, north, comes into sight first and the benevolent God of prosperity is propitiated.

South

The south is considered to be inauspicious in all respects. Therefore, the south should be consciously avoided for any work. The kitchen in the house should never be designed in the direction of the south. The septic tank, or well, should also not be in this direction as such arrangements lead to unhappiness in the family.

The owner earns name and fame in the fields of land development and politics if his house has its southern part at a higher level than the parts in the directions of the east, the north and the north-east and the slope is towards the south-west. Parking place to the south side of the house is always beneficial but toilets should never be in this direction as it leads to monetary losses in the family. Instead, they should be on the south-eastern side. Open space should never be left in the southern part of the house or plot.

If the road is on the south side of the house and its level is higher than the plot, it is considered to be auspicious and beneficial. Steps and water-storage tanks in the direction of the south are supposed to be beneficial. It is also good to have a river or a lake to the south of the residence. Similarly, it is always good if in the south of a house there are tall buildings or hills.

If the southern part of a house is rented out, it is always beneficial for the owner. When the property is divided, the south side of the house should be allotted to the elder brother while the younger one should be given the northern part.

The wall of the house in the south should be thicker than the other walls in order to avoid the ill effects generating from that side. Open terraces or verandas should not be on the southern side of the house. One invites problems and troubles if one’s office is on the southern side of the house. Losses are incurred if electronic appliances are kept in the southern part of the house side.

North – East

The north-east is the seat of God, which is why it is always advised to have one’s pooja room or place of worship in this direction. If the maximum slope in the house is towards the north-east, the happiness of the owner knows no limits. A well or boring well on this side always proves to beneficial. The north-east of the house should be left for open spaces such as terraces from the north-east to ensure all-round progress of the family. Water emanating from the house should be released in this direction. The main slope of the house should always be towards the north-east. One’s office should also be in the same direction.

The north-eastern side of the house should not be either high or heavily constructed. And the kitchen, bedrooms and toilets should not be in this direction. Water-storage tanks should not be constructed in the north-east of the house.

The fortunes of the owner are also related to the location and position of any road to the north-east of the house. If a road ends in the north-eastern direction of the house, it is considered to be auspicious. But the level of the construction of the house should be higher than that of the road. Parking place for vehicles should not be on this side and heavy, iron or steel object should not be kept in this direction as such an arrangement would prove to be inauspicious. Instead, a garden should be created to the north-east of the house.

The north-eastern part of the house should be treated as a divine possession; therefore, it should not be rented out. If the family has to be divided, the north-east of the house should be offered to the younger brother.

Immense prosperity and fame is in store for those who live in a house where there is either a river or a lake in the north-eastern direction. Beware of calamities if there is a tall mountain in this direction of the house.

South – West

The owner and his family members are always haunted by fearful dreams if the house they live in has either a well or a water-storage tank in the south-western direction. It is better to use this part of the house for garbage-collection. There should be little but open space left in this part of the house. A tall water-storage tank in the south-west direction of a residence leaves favorable effects on the inmates of the house. If the entrance of a house is in this direction, the owner gets average benefits.

The south-western part of the house should be used for parking vehicles. The compound wall of the house on this side should also be higher and thicker. Heavy stonework should be done up to the plinth level on this side. And if there is a pit in the south-western direction, it should be filled and mango or coconut trees should be planted there.

Mishaps and blasts are possible if the kitchen in the house is in its south-western part. A pucca road in this direction of the house suddenly makes the owner scared. In such cases one should see that the level of the house is kept lower than that of the road. If the house is sloped from the south-west towards the north, the north-east or the east, the owner becomes happy in all respects. A cut in this direction of the house is supposed to be auspicious. If family division takes place, the south-western side should be taken by the elder brother while the north-eastern part should be allotted to the younger one.

North – West

The owner of a house gets favorable results if the north-western part of the house is on a higher plane than the north-east and eastern sides. This is the right side of the house for parking vehicles and constructing overhead water-storage tanks. The level of the house should be on lower plane compared to the sides on the south-east and the south-west, in order to gain beneficial results. One incurs losses if the north-western side of the house one lives in is largely open. There is a strong possibility of the owner going mad or turning lunatic if there is a well in this direction. A kitchen in the north-western side of the house ordinarily gives beneficial results. A door in this direction is said to be good for the well-being of the family.

If there is a road in the direction of the north-west, then the level of the house should be kept lower than that of the road. Steps in this direction are presumed to be favorable. It proves to be favorable to rent out the north-western part of the house. If the family divides, the younger brother should be allotted the north-western part while the elder one should get the south-eastern section for the benefit of both.

Electronic appliances and motors are either soon damaged or go out of order frequently if they are placed in the north-western side of the house. It is considered to be very auspicious to have the slope of the house towards the north and if the course of the rain water is towards the north and is released in the north-eastern direction.

South – East

It is always beneficial as far as financial growth is concerned if the kitchen in the house is in the south-eastern part. There should not be either a well or a water-storage tank on this side of the house. A peaceful atmosphere prevails if the south-western part of the house is on a higher plane than the north-western side. Similarly, it is always beneficial to have the south-eastern side of the house on the higher plane compared to the sides in the north-east, the north and the east.

The south-eastern side of the residence is always the right place for toilets, parking place, garbage collection points and so on. It is beneficial to have doors on this side. The house should be on a higher level than any road in the south-eastern direction.

If the upper floors of the house are constructed in a south-east direction, it is regarded as auspicious. Open spaces should not be left in this direction as children in the family are badly affected with this arrangement. It is considered to be unfavorable to have a river, a lake or a water body in the south-eastern direction from the house.

Main machines should be placed in South or West area.

Machines having heat should be placed in the South East area.

Auxiliary machines may be placed in East.
